When it comes to the fastest-growing segment of golf, long drive competition leads the charge—and Myrtle Beach happens to be its home turf. Ultimate Long Drive, Inc. (ULD), based right here along the Grand Strand since 2017, has grown into the largest long drive organization in the world. And it all started in our backyard.
A Homegrown Powerhouse
From its headquarters in Myrtle Beach, ULD has built a global competitive structure for long drive athletes of all ages and abilities. But its roots remain strong in the Carolinas. The local Coastal Carolinas League features both indoor events at the ULD Academy Training Center in Longs, SC, and outdoor competitions held at Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club in Sunset Beach, NC.
These events give locals and traveling golfers the chance to compete, train, or just witness some of the most explosive swings in golf.
Not Just a Sideshow — A Real Sport
Long drive is more than just a few big hitters smashing balls down a grid. ULD has turned it into a structured sport, complete with leagues, rankings, regional majors, and a World Championship that draws competitors from across the globe.
