Often regarded as the most underrated of the three courses at Myrtle Beach National, SouthCreek delivers a fun, tactical golf experience with plenty of charm. Designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane, this 18-hole layout winds through towering pines, native wetlands, and gentle mounding—demanding accuracy and strategy over brute strength.
For players who enjoy shaping shots and working the ball into position, SouthCreek might just be the best-kept secret in Myrtle Beach golf.
Course Overview
SouthCreek is the shortest of the three courses at MBN, but don’t let the yardage fool you. This is a thinking player’s course that rewards precision over power and punishes the errant shot with wetlands, doglegs, and sneaky bunkers.

The Golfer’s Review
SouthCreek is a blast to play. You’ll use every club in the bag and have to think your way around the course. I’ve always found it in great condition, with smooth greens and tight fairways that reward a sharp short game. It’s also the most peaceful of the three Myrtle Beach National layouts—less traffic, more nature.
Perfect for mid-handicappers, couples, and players who enjoy finesse over firepower.
