The International Club is dedicated to providing first rate instruction at their award winning US Golf Schools located right behind the clubhouse.  On this edition of Tee It Up Grand Strand we take a look at one of the teachers at the International Club, Brad Redding.  Brad is a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher and a PGA Master Professional in Instruction and the management and staff could not be happier to have Brad call the International Club home for his golf school.

Brad, a native of Knoxville, Tennessee was introduced to the game by his father, Bill Redding, who was an NCAA All-American golfer at Purdue University.  Naturally he fell in love with the game and wanted to play it all the time and wanted to be good at it.  This led him to want to learn about the intricacies of the golf swing and the different ways he could learn how to swing a club.  As he grew more and more interested in learning about the golf swing he took bits and pieces from instructors he had and decided he was going to going to use all the knowledge he learned from them and become a golf instructor himself.

“I didn’t know much about the game but in the lessons I received as a youngster” said Redding.  “I didn’t like what I was hearing or the results it was producing. I set out to find what made some instructors so effective and produced better results with their students.”

Brad has developed a teaching philosophy that sets him apart from other teachers.  He takes his knowledge of the golf swing and the game of golf itself and blends into helping his students improve their abilities which in turn allows them to enjoy the game more.  After all, who doesn’t like golf more when they are playing better?

Redding is  a seven time PGA Section Teacher of the Year and is  #1 Golf Instructor in South Carolina as ranked by Golf Digest and he is right here in the Golf Capital of the World.

“We are so fortunate to have a talent like Brad teaching here at the International Club” says General Manager, Doug Donner.  “His reputation as an instructor brings golfers from all over the country and even the world to our facility.  Not many golf courses can boast that.”
