The International Club of Myrtle Beach consistently receives rave reviews from golfers each time they play the course. This Willard Byrd design suits the eye of players no matter their age or ability level. International Club provides a wonderful challenge and some amazing sites as golfers make their way around the course. On this edition of Tee It Up Grand Strand we take a look at some recent reviews that General Manager Doug Donner and his staff have received.
Steve says “Fairways were mostly green despite season and weather for Bermuda grass. It had just rained so we had the 90 degree rule in affect. The staff was friendly so we were very appreciative of this since it was our first time at course.”
“Had never played the course before” Mitchell tells. “Lots of challenging holes, but very fair for the one who didn’t know the layout. We actually missed our tee-time because of emergency matter, but upon calling the course and hour later they accommodated us greatly. Time of year and late afternoon made for quick 3 hour round. Great value as well!”Joe from Flint, Michigan loved the greens. “Great course. The greens deserve to be talked about. Great shape and don’t seem to break as much as it looks. I don’t like bermuda but these are in such great shape the putting was smooth and I was glad I played. I recommend this course to anyone.”
“One of the top courses out of the 50 or so courses I’ve played in Myrtle Beach! Loved it! Great price as well. It was a tremendous value! Thanks for everything! I will return.” Don from Ohio.
Jim from West Virginia said “I found the course to be a nice mixture of looks for tee shots. None of the holes were exceptionally difficult, but still an enjoyable round. The whites were 6200 yards. There was a reasonable amount of bunkers to avoid. Water was abundant, but I don’t remember it as coming into play that often. The greens held well, and were very fast. You really needed to be below the hole, or you often ended up a few feet back uphill. There was also more break in the putt than appeared.”
“My wife and I played the International Club on October 9th” tells Manny from Wilmington, NC. “The course was in very good shape. The greens are some of the best in the Myrtle Beach area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this course to anyone and we will be back for another enjoyable round of golf.”
